The virtuoso pianist MAKSIM, winner of MTV Music Awards and first prize at prestigious international music competitions, will perform pieces from his 12th studio album, SEGMENTI, along with special works that have defined his career. Iconic compositions by legendary classical composers such as Chopin, Prokofiev, and Tchaikovsky are presented alongside reinterpretations of globally known songs by Queen, ABBA, and others, enriched with modern and rock-inspired arrangements and performed in MAKSIM’s distinctive piano style.
The concert will also include live performances of internationally acclaimed pieces from his earlier albums, such as “Exodus,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” and “Game of Thrones,” all of which have been highly popular with audiences.
Performing on stage with his band, MAKSIM takes the SEGMENTI World Tour far beyond a traditional piano recital by combining powerful stage production and striking visual effects into a complete immersive experience. This special evening promises a high-energy, cinematic celebration of piano music, transforming the concert into an unforgettable live event.
With over 5 million albums sold worldwide and numerous gold and platinum awards, MAKSIM is regarded as one of the most successful names in crossover piano music, blending classical repertoire with modern power and energy. His concerts offer audiences a unique experience through high intensity, cinematic stage design, and impressive visual production.
One of the standout tracks from the latest studio album SEGMENTI is “Prokofiev’s Fantasy,” which will be performed during the concert. The piece is conceived as a continuous composition that unites three of Sergei Prokofiev’s most iconic works: the brilliant Toccata—long part of MAKSIM’s repertoire; lyrical themes from Romeo and Juliet, arranged by John Lenahan; and the magnificent coda from Piano Concerto No. 3, one of the most technically demanding passages ever written for the instrument. “This piece is among the most complex and technically difficult I have ever recorded,” says MAKSIM. “I have loved the Third Piano Concerto since childhood and have always dreamed of performing it. For the album, I decided to leave the coda exactly as written—I didn’t change a single note. It is almost impossible to play, yet incredibly captivating and full of joy. I look forward to performing it live and hearing the audience’s reaction!”
